Bruno Berner
Swiss international Bruno Berner spoke to BBC Radio Leicester after his side's 2-1 win over Carlisle at Brunton Park, Berner hoping that City striker Matty Fryatt will remain at the Walkers Stadium after the January transfer window :

" I am glad to find my way on the scoring sheet and it was a win. I am so happy for the team that we won a very difficult game today. It is fantastic, Andy (King) already has seven goals I think and Lloyd (Dyer) eight, so it is fantastic that also the midfielders can score goals. It is important that our strikers have got the support as well from the back, so it is good.

" It was a very tough game, I thought that in the first-half we did well until we conceded the goal. We had a good shape, we did pass the ball quite well but we just missed opportunities to score. So all of a sudden you are 1-0 down, you have to come out and react and that is what we did. We came back into the game in the second-half, scored the equaliser and we just kept going. It was very important because we wanted to stay up there, it is how it was.

" We were 1-0 down and we wanted to stay at the top of the table so we had to react as favourites. We had to change the attitude maybe a little bit and just work harder. As we did in the first-half but maybe with a bit more determination, so that is what we did. It was an open game and we played more in their half than they did our half in the first-half. There are no easy games in this league and we know that, and we expect our opponents to always throw everything against us, so we just have to keep working hard.

" I had some pressure from my family back home to get a goal, they said that it was time to see my name on the scoring sheet. They will be very glad so I will call them afterwards and tell them that I scored today. The referee (Mike Jones) could have whistled, it could have been disallowed because my leg was quite high.

" Luckily and fortunately for me though it wasn't so I scored the winner and I am very happy, as well for our again fantastic supporters. They also made the long trip and the long way up here and again, thank you very much guys, you have been fantastic.

" I am looking forward to this Christmas period, this is typical English league, that is what it is all about. We have now two big games coming up, Peterborough at home and Leeds away so we are really looking forward to these games. We are fortunate to have a striker like Matty (Fryatt) and hopefully he will stay on this wave for as long as he can, it is fantastic to have a striker like him. "
