LM
I am definitely enjoying the time because I have started playing games and this is the most important thing is to play games, and that is what it is all about. Because, at Leeds I didn't get so many opportunities to play, so it is good for me in Carlisle.
JP
How frustrating is that for you? Especially for someone who came in with such a big reputation at Leeds?
LM
I think Carlisle is a good club, it is in League One, obviously it is the same league as Leeds played in last season. So, I am playing games and this is good for me.
JP
What does it feel like as well to be so adored by the fans as you are here at Carlisle? Because, is that something that you have missed perhaps with not playing at Leeds?
LM
Yeah, but I think the fans in Carlisle have been brilliant with me so far, so I have to just do well because I am under pressure as well because they are expecting good performances from here. We just need to play well and get points now.
JP
What about your relationships in the centre of that defence? In particular James Chester, the two of you look like you were made to play next to each other?
LM
Yeah, it looks like we have played before together because we have kept so many clean sheets. I think we have done quite well and we just have to continue with this.
JP
Do you think you need that in the centre of defence? A sort of a little and large? I am not saying James is entirely little, but you know what I mean, one really big guy and one who wants to do it all on the floor?
LM
James is a brilliant player and sometimes at the back it is not about how tall you are, it is about the timing as well, so I think he is a brilliant player.
JP
What about your longer-term future? Do you know if you have a future back at Leeds, in particular given how well you have played here at Carlisle?
LM
In my opinion I don't have a really big future at Leeds, this is what I think. So, I don't think I am going to play for Leeds anymore, but you never know.
JP
Do you know what you would like to do after Christmas? Is Carlisle United somewhere you would like to come to?
LM
I am here until 3rd January so we will see, if I stay I will stay, maybe I would be happy to stay.
JP
The fans would absolutely love you to stay, they have really taken to you, it would be great to see you here longer-term if it could happen of course?
LM
Yeah, but we just have to start winning the games because in the last three games we have got just one point, so we have to start again on Saturday and Yeovil away.
JP
I must ask you about that goal at Hartlepool, the free-kick, it wasn't quite a dead ball because it had been rolled across to you, but the second it left your foot did you know it was flying in?
LM
I don't know, I still don't know why I decided to shoot from this distance, so I am just really happy I scored because I don't think week in and week out you can score a goal like this, so you can score maybe one or two a year.
JP
Have you ever scored one like that? Because I know you do try them don't you?
LM
Yeah, but since I came here to England it was my first goal from this distance.
JP
Who have you made friendships with at Carlisle then? Who are the players that you hang out with in your spare time?
LM
I think everybody is OK, I think the relationships with all players are OK. Especially the players around Leeds because we are travelling almost every day together. But, everybody is OK I think.
JP
Who are your idols in the game? Are there any players who you say you would almost like to style yourself on or are you your own man entirely?
LM
From football, I was always a supporter of Manchester United. But, when I started playing for Leeds I never was supporting them, but I don't really have my own special player. I just really like watching the Premier League and maybe all teams.
JP
A bit of a Gary Pallister in your day maybe?
LM
Yeah, maybe, yeah.
JP
I bet you couldn't mention that you were a Manchester United fan when you went to Leeds could you?
LM
No, not really.
