"Without a shadow of a doubt it's my proudest day since I took over. It was a fantastic game and a brilliant performance, and I hope the huge crowd went home ecstatic after watching us beat the former European champions. It was a huge team performance and I can't single out any individual.
"People always have doubts when you lose a home game, like we did the other week against Crewe even though we didn't deserve to lose. So to put on a performance like that, passing and creating chances, everybody working for each other, was excellent. We didn't have the luck last week at Brentford when Karl (Hawley) had a header disallowed, so you always hope it evens itself out.
"To beat a team like Nottingham Forest is fantastic for me and it's fantastic for everybody. Let's not forget they were European champions and they were in the Premier League. They are a huge club, and to stop a team like Nottingham Forest from even having half a chance all game is excellent. It was certainly the right time for us to score but I was very pleased anyway with our first-half performance.
"The performance was brilliant and hopefully the crowd will come back, because they were fantastic all night. Our crowd has been brilliant and I'm pleased we were able to give them something to cheer about. In the last two games we haven't really given the opposition a sniff in front of goal.
"Whether people have signed new contracts, whether they haven't, or whether they're waiting for new contracts, you can see all through the club that everyone is fighting in the right direction."
