United midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey after the 3-1 home win over Leeds, Bridge-Wilkinson first talking about Carlisle's equaliser before discussing his late strike that sealed all three points for the Blues :

" Simon Hackney's strike was a textbook strike, he's caught it so sweetly it was unbelievable. It gave us a really big lift, we kicked on from there and obviously went on to win. My free-kick for that just about sums my day up to be honest, I've had an absolute beast today but the lads have dug me out of it really. I'm very thankful to them, this happens in a team game, sometimes players don't do well and the rest of the lads have done ever so well today for me and have pulled me through it.

" It was great to see the second goal go in to be quite honest, we put a little bit of pressure on before that and obviously once the goal goes in we know that they are going to have to kick up and try to come forward again. We've got players, we can hit on the break, we've got quick and decisive players in our team and that's what we did at the end, we managed to nick another one.

" He (Danny Carlton) is trying to claim my goal, I don't know why, I think that Westy (Keiren Westwood) has got as much chance of claiming it to be quite honest. I managed to nick it between the two players and go through them and it's just a question, it's the last minute of the game so I just tried to bend it in the far corner and thankfully it went in. Today was one of those days and luckily they both came in flat so it gave me an easy decision to make, otherwise it would have been staying in the corner myself and Danny (Graham).

" We've had a great game today, we've played well, we've played a team that is going to be up there at the end of the season and we've come out 3-1 victors. We're going to enjoy it tonight, we're going to obviously go home to our families but there is no-one going to be going out. We've got a big game on Tuesday against Luton who are again a good side at home and we're looking to really cement our place at the top of the division.

" We're not going to concentrate on other teams, we're just looking at what we are going to do. If we carry on playing the way we are doing and getting the results that we are then we'll be up there and around at the end of the season, so that's the way we'll look forward to it. No-one is going to play well every game, sometimes there will be players that don't play so well and it's up to the rest of the lads as they've shown today. The rest of the lads have bailed me out and this happens in football, very good team spirit and it's just something that we can really strive to go on and do things with. "
