Gillingham boss Mark Stimson spoke to BBC Radio Kent after his side's 2-0 defeat against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Stimson saying that the only difference between the two teams was the set-piece quality of Ian Harte :

" We started the game nice and positive and we had a couple of opportunities and chances and you have got to take them. We didn't and we got done by probably the best player on the pitch by an absolute mile in Ian Harte, who showed how to take set-pieces.

" His distribution we knew about, it is second to none. We asked the boys not to give any free-kicks away around the box, but we gave too many away and sooner or later he punished us. He put a great one in the top bin and obviously a sloppy silly penalty to give away as well and he isn't going to miss from 12 yards.

" So disappointed again because we had chances, we hit the woodwork, Jacko (Simeon Jackson) had a good chance going around the keeper (Adam Collin) but you have got to take them.

" The defending in general wasn't too bad because it is two set-pieces that cost us. Their centre-forwards were very good I thought in getting their body in the way of our centre-halves and earning free-kicks. Whereas I thought our three upfront today were nowhere near it in that capacity. "

" I thought all three of them (Jackson, Chris Dickson and Rene Howe) looked way off what we expected. It is obviously why we made a couple of changes to them. So just frustrated that it is two set-pieces, if he (Harte) doesn't play for Carlisle then it would have been a 0-0 draw, but that is why he is here. He is great at it and I am sure he practises and practises over and over again.

" The 4-3-3 has worked in the last three games, today it didn't work, we will have a look at next week and see who is available and then decide at home to go with what we think will be good enough to get something against Huddersfield.

" Chris Palmer did OK but it is not until people are out of the team or go that you realise how much they are a miss. Barry Fuller, that wouldn't have happened for the second goal, I am 100% sure of that, the kid (Matty Robson) wouldn't have got past Barry Fuller that easy.

" But Chris has done his best, it was always going to be difficult, he hasn't played for a while and there was a bit of rustiness in his legs. But Barry will be a massive miss because he has been a very good player, probably in my eyes our best player this season. "

" I didn't really see the incident Greg Abbott got sent off for, but again the defender (Harte) reacted in the right way didn't he. Scored two goals, shook his hand after the game and smiled at him (Rene Howe), that is the way to react if he did get an elbow. But I can't really comment, can't remember it, Greg was very upset with it, he might have a different view on it.

" But I will have a look at it on the video and DVD and if we think it is a bad one then we will pull Rene and make him watch it because we don't want to see any of that in the game. I like to see people competing, like their right-back today (Richard Keogh) who I thought was outstanding in his game. We want people to compete and be honest but we don't want anyone putting elbows on people and trying to put people out of the game.

" There is a possibility that I might change things around for Huddersfield. The reason we made the triple substitution today was because it wasn't working. We thought that with two wide boys on the bench in (Dennis) Oli and (Andy) Barcham they might give us a bit of width and get at their full-backs but they didn't really get enough ball to do that.

" We have got a week now to prepare for Huddersfield and it will be a good week. The boys will be tested in every department and we will see who comes up fighting for that. "
