"I thought James (Dean) did very well up front. The fitter and stronger he gets, the more problems he will cause defenders. We need to be patient with him because he's not played at this level before, but he's a quick learner and a great lad and he works his socks off.
"We've got to build on a very good pre-season. The league is the most important thing and we've got to make sure will be back on song on Saturday. We've created some good chances and if we continue to work like we have done we will get results at home. The league is what matters. We have to focus and move on and make sure we are ready for Grimsby on Saturday."
Meanwhile Shakers striker James Dean, who was signed from Northwich in the summer said :
"Compared to the Conference, the football is quick, but I think I can develop to that. I'm a quick learner, and the lads have been teaching me a lot. It is a bit of a step up but I can handle it. I will just give it 100%.
"I won my share of headers and got the ball down trying to play it, but I will just learn from this. I had a good chance but perhaps just held onto the ball too much. It's down to learning. Once I get my touch right and learn to give it the first time, instead of taking a second touch. It will come, I will work on it in training, as well as my finishing.
"The ball did come to me quicker than I thought it would for the chance, I should have just struck the ball.If you think too much they come right behind you.Its what I have to learn about this game."
