Mick Wadsworth
'Pools boss Mick Wadsworth spoke to his club's official website and the Northern Echo after his side's 4-0 thumping at home to Carlisle, Wadsworth suggesting a lengthening injury list is part of the problem for Hartlepool :

" The injuries are catching up with us, there's no doubt about that. Our inability to seal the gap in front of the back four was ridiculous really, especially for the amount of time we work on it and how tight we do look away from home. We look so organised on our travels but playing the same system at home we just a look soft touch. For the amount of time we work and spend on it and how tight we look away from home, in all my career I can honestly say I've never been at this point.

" In the first twenty minutes we were probably the better team with the better chances but the two strikers for Carlisle (Gary Madine and Francois Zoko) killed us - they were absolutely terrific for them. We are naive, credit to the lad (Lubomir Michalik) for the free-kick, it was great quick thinking but we were naive again and never stood on the ball, and it was against the run of play. When the second goal came, again they hadn't had a chance in our box.

" The stupid thing is that I'm not at all worried about the Plymouth game - because I know for a fact we'll get a performance out of the boys. I know the history here from looking into it and I know what happens here. I said before this game, what do they want to be - a team that wins, loses, wins, loses? Stay up by the skin of the teeth - and I'm sure we will stay up, I'm not concerned about that. "
