" On new signings it's just a question of chipping away at the managers, then hopefully they'll get sick of me phoning up and they'll turn around and say yes, as have Leeds and as have Derby. A lot of the teams have got injuries themselves and they are quite reluctant to let their players come out for even a month. I wouldn't say we are struggling to get players to join us because Jermaine (Beckford) has come and Paul (Thirlwell) has come. I'm not looking to bring another five or six people in, I'm only trying to bring probably one more, if we could get two then that would be fantastic but definitely one more.
"It's just a question of trying to find the right manager who says yes - the reports coming back are that Carlisle are playing some good football and are in the top eight, they are on the up and I'll send one of my players to either got some experience or until the end of the year. His (Beckford's) debut was very good, he said himself about his attributes being strong in the air, quick and he's a goalscorer and he proved all of those three. He's had another week's training which has been excellent with the rest of the chaps so we're looking for even more of an improvement on his performance than what it was last Saturday.
" He (Peter Murphy) has trained and he's come through so he's in the squad and up for selection. The scans for Paul Murray have been stuck in transit to be fair, we're just trying to organise it, we're speaking to Mr Steadman's secretary and the nurses. Hopefully over the weekend we should have an answer over which direction to take, the reason being that it all takes time, at the same time Mr Steadman is very, very busy and he is doing us a huge favour by having a look at them. We're hopeful that in the next few days we will be able to sort Paul out.
" It's obviously a vitally important game tomorrow, nobody wants to lose three games on the trot but the performances have been decent enough. We've obviously conceded a few too many goals for my liking over the last two games considering how many goals we conceded before that. We've had a couple of personnel missing, although I certainly won't make an excuse for that, we're still creating chances though and it's about time we stuck them in the back of the net, I hope that starts tomorrow. We've been very tight at the back apart from the last two games and we've had chances galore, you just have to stick it in the back of the net to win games.
" On substitutions, we discuss tactics all the way through the second-half and even in the first-half, we made a change at half-time on Saturday, and we just felt that maybe changing someone else and going four upfront would stop the flow of the play. We were creating chances and we were hopeful that it would just be a matter of time before one hit the goal, sometimes changes spoil the balance. Yes okay, you can throw one on in the last five minutes but we were still getting behind them and creating and I didn't want to spoil that, it was just unfortuante that we didn't get the equaliser. "
