Blues manager Neil McDonald
United boss Neil McDonald spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria on Friday evening as he talked about the game at Rotherham tomorrow afternoon, McDonald commenting on his potential selection headache at Millmoor :

" We're on the coach heading towards Rotherham at the moment. If we get the points and Rotherham are relegated then it certainly won't be our fault, the season is 42 games in and we'll just be part of that in that they haven't got enough points in the season to stay up.

" The confidence is high but we're not over confident, it's going to be a very difficult game. They need the points, they are desperate for the points, and they'll come out scrapping and fighting. They'll give it their best shot and we have to be ready for them, we have to be ready for a high tempo start and for everything they throw at us. If we can deal with the first 20 minutes and then impose our game on top of them then hopefully we can keep the run going.

" The more players that we have back to make the squad stronger the better, Zigor Aranalde and Luke Joyce give me a little bit of a selection problem with everybody playing well who has come into the team. Everyone keeps on telling me that that is what I get paid for though.

" I've always said that if the players play well then they will stay in the team but it's at the stage of the season where we have had a couple of suspensions and a couple of injuries throughout the season. Whenever anybody has stepped in I have always gone for the team that I believe is going to win the next game. We'll see what team, or what players, are fit for tomorrow, and whoever I pick will try and win that fifth one on the trot.

" I think they (Rotherham) have won three out of their last six games so they're in decent form themselves, although they're not having a little bit of luck I suppose. They've had the handicap of minus ten points before the season started so if you add those ten points they might not be in the predicament that they are in at the moment. It'll be a difficult game because it's away from home but we're ready because our away form has been excellent since the turn of the year.

" If we knew why our away form has turned around then I suppose we would have changed it earlier. What has helped though is that we've stopped at home and trained at home first, and then we've had a little bit of a meal going to the Chairman's place for something to eat. Then we get down to the hotel where that big meal we've had seems to be digested into the system, then we've topped it up with a little bit of soup and sandwiches at the hotel. Then the boys have gone straight to bed and that seems to have been working so far along with the excellent training on our own pitch.

" The supporters have been fantastic on their travels, we've tried to improve it past the New Year and I think we've done that. I think it's showed in that they seem to be enjoying the long travel even better because they are coming out in their numbers to support their team away from home. "
