" When you get beaten it is a disappointing result of course, but if you give sloppy goals away and you miss penalties then sometimes you won't get anything out of the game. He (Jermaine Beckford) has come into the club and trained for a couple of days and I've been pleased with his performance, he's shown that he's got a lot of commitment and it was nice for him to get on the goal-scoring track straight away.
" We haven't played brilliantly for the first 20 minutes, that's probably the slowest that we've had, all credit to Millwall though – they've tried to stop us playing and have got in amongst us. We haven't been fluent so it's back to the drawing board, it's disappointing that we've lost our home record but it's certainly not all doom and gloom even though we've lost two on the trot now.
" The depth in the squad don't start the game as they are on the sidelines. We are trying to strengthen – of course we are, we've got a couple of injuries which you have to put up with during the season so we'll take what we get. He's (Peter Murphy) knee has been a little bit sore for the last couple of weeks, we wanted to be sure with him, if he had played today and then he made it worse then he might have been out for three or four weeks. We've just got to try and make sure that he's ready for next week.
" We're still waiting to hear back from the knee specialist on Paul Murray, he was in transit when we sent the stuff across to America, so hopefully within the next four of five days we'll have an idea of which way to go. It's still going to be either three months or six months though I would imagine.
" On the second goal it was poor defending and to give a goal away like that kills you when you are trying to get back into the game. Then we've forced the issue again, we've got a penalty and we missed that, we've forced it in the second-half and had a couple of chances. If you give a goal away as poor as that was and you miss a penalty then it gives you an uphill battle because they've got something to hold onto.
" It's very frustrating, it's the first time I've lost a home game so that's a new experience. I've said to the players that and it's not all doom and gloom and we have to learn from it, I'm sure it will make us stronger in the future. Training has been spot on this week with no problems whatsoever and I was very, very confident with the team that I picked. Unfortunately we've given a sloppy goal away as a team and we've missed a penalty as a team as well.
" He (David Raven) is going to be another couple of weeks away I would imagine, he's been down to Lilleshall for a couple of days and he's back now. He's had the scan, so it's just rehabilitation and a little bit of training now and then hopefully he'll be back in a couple of weeks. I said to the players after the game, in my opinion, that they have been kicked in the teeth for the first time, they've probably deserved a draw on the second-half performance.
" It wasn't to be though so let's stop feeling sorry for ourselves. It wasn't for the lack of trying, they have given 100%, it was just that little bit of quality on the final pass or the final finish, or the final through ball that is letting us down at the moment. We just have to keep on battling away, yes that's two in a row but we have to try and either pick up a point or win against Huddersfield next week, and that's our main aim – to make sure we don't lose three on the trot. We don't like losing two games in a row never mind three so we'll be working very hard on the training field to make sure that we are ready for Huddersfield. "
