"It seems to be the thing going against us at the moment, late goals. It looks as if the players are switching off in the dying minutes of the half and waiting for the whistle to blow. I've said many a time it is about staying focused and firm until the very end.
"It looked so good for us just before the break, especially after another well taken goal by Steve Scoffham. He and Pipey (David Pipe) looked a constant threat to their defence. Pipey took a knock so we had to take him off, but he did well up until that.
"Both goals were quality strikes from (Michael) Bridges, there is no doubt about that but it was the build-ups where I felt we could have dealt with them in a better way.
"We could have dealt with them more professionally before the chances fell to him. The first one we didn't get clear in the box with a header, and with no-one around him he finishes it well. Pilks (Kevin Pilkington) said he should have saved it and pushed it away. The second was a great strike, his execution was superb.
"It is a tough place to visit though. The atmosphere was excellent and made it a good experience for my players, and credit to Carlisle. They have done well this season, and they worked ever so hard and shot up the table since the winter."
