Blues skipper Paul Thirlwell
United skipper Paul Thirlwell spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey this week about his recent injury problems, Thirlwell also discussing tomorrow's League One match at Elland Road against Leeds United :

" It is very good to see Joe Anyinsah, obviously he is one of those faces that we are used to having around. I didn't know obviously until I got there this morning so I was surprised to see him there but it is nice to have him back. He was popular last time, he has always got a smile on his face, similar to Cleveland (Taylor) in that way, so he is a good addition. He did well last time he was here so let's hope that he can produce the same form again.

" Kav (Graham Kavanagh) is obviously well experienced in the game, although I will choose my words carefully because he is picking on me a bit. He is a great lad though and I think that obviously in the games he has played so far shows that he has done ever so well. Obviously he is really fit for his age and he has played a lot of games and he is a great addition again. He has got the added experience of giving a little bit of advice to the younger lads because obviously he has played at the highest level.

" I am fit and in the squad for tomorrow, I have been fit since, well obviously I came on for the Oldham game and obviously I would have been fit for the Walsall game as well. Unfortunately that was postponed but the lads are raring to go for tomorrow. It has been frustrating for me in the last year and certainly last season really. This season hasn't been too bad, I have only had really the kind of one pull.

" The other situation was obviously the Leicester game where I just came off with tightness. I think that this season we have just decided to look after it so we could get really to the bottom of the problem which hopefully we have done and we are getting to. There is nothing more frustrating than obviously the same thing reoccuring which happened last year. It is more a case of getting to the root of the problem and trying to just add a bit of maintenance to it and making sure that it doesn't keep rearing it's ugly head.

" Leeds is one of the fixtures that everyone looks forward to at the beginning of the season because obviously they are a massive club. A new change of manager, I would expect a big crowd, I think that he has had a couple of positive results. Everyone is looking forward to going there, we have obviously showed last season and the last four of five games that we have played them that we are more than capable of giving them a hell of a game, so hopefully it will be the same tomorrow.

" I have just seen on SKY that Leeds have signed Lee Trundle, obviously from the games we had against Swansea he is a really good player. You don't know what you are going to get with him, he is capable of scoring "worldy" goals, and I am sure that he will be wanting to go to Leeds and prove a point if he is not getting regular games at Bristol City. So it is another something that we will have to look out for tomorrow but hopefully we can stop him and stop everybody else. "
