United club captain Peter Murphy spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey before training today as he gave his thoughts on the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night and the tough away game to come at Doncaster Rovers tomorrow :

" We've come a long way since we last played them, so it's nice to catch them up again because at the time they were going up and we were going down and it wasn't a nice atmosphere. All their fans were coming onto the pitch in celebration mode, and it wasn't the best of times for us watching on when we were going down. We've caught them up this time, and hopefully we can go above them, we beat them on the first day of the season and hopefully we can do it again. They've had a bit of a troubled time, I think they sold a few of their players but they've got back on the road again. I think they've got their new stadium now, so we've caught them up now and hopefully we can not stall like they did, hopefully we can keep going forward.

" Wednesday was just a massive win because we lost our last home game, our away form has let us down this season, I don't know what the reason is for that but we're going to try and change it on Saturday. We've been banking on our home form and we lost against Crewe which was a game we shouldn't have lost, so we were wanting to go back out and put a show on for the fans. We got the 1-0 win and hopefully that continues.

" I think that teams that come up here maybe play a little bit different than they do when they are at home. When we are at home we are a lot more free, and play more open attacking football, I think that's what other teams are like when they are at home. It's a little bit of a different mentality when you are away from home, we as a team have got to change that. We've got to pick up a few results because we're up near the play-offs now with good home form and very bad away form, and it has to be said that it is very bad. If we can change that around then we'll be right in the play-offs and maybe a little bit higher so it's up to us to change it.

" Two clean sheets in a row with Danny Livesey can't be bad, but I think whoever comes into the team is going to do a good job. Kev (Kevin Gray) is out of the team at the moment, but if he comes back in then he'll do the exact same job as we're doing. It's all about keeping clean sheets, it's not just me and Danny, it's the whole back four, the middle four and the front two, so it's not just us two. It's the whole team working very hard, on Wednesday night against Forest there was a good block of ten players behind the ball, working very hard and solidly and that's what we hope to do on Saturday.

" It's what you have to do, I think that's where our success has been in the last few years and we're trying to continue that. You can't have players just doing what they want in the team, because you have to work as a unit and you'll get caught out if you don't work together as a team. There are a lot of teams in this division who are good enough to catch you out so you've got to all work together. Then when we get into the last third we've got to take our opportunities which we have done this week against Forest. We were unfortunate to have a goal disallowed against Brentford, you need that little bit of luck as well I suppose but it will come, there is no doubt about that. "
