United defender Peter Murphy spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he talked about the last-gasp 2-1 win over Yeovil at Brunton Park, Murphy, like Blues boss John Ward, also chatting about the crunch top-of-the-table clash coming up on Tuesday night at home to Swansea City:

" Defeat isn't an option, especially after the run we've had at home, getting a defeat on Tuesday you wanted to bounce back with a good result. We were unfortunate to go down to a breakaway goal, I think that's what they came to do, try to stop us from playing and catch us on the counter-attack. They've done that but we've shown the fight to come back and win the game.

" Our first goal was another set-piece, like the way we got the one against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, but we've done them today. The equaliser, got a good goal from a set-piece, a corner, it's good to get it, it gives everybody a lift, the players, the fans and we went on to get the win again. So it was good to get the goal.

" I think it's the delivery coming in, the delivery has been very good on both sides, we've got Bridgey (Marc Bridge-Wilkinson) and Si (Simon Hackney) with different balls. Me and Danny (Livesey) are talking to each other about making our runs and it seems to be working at the minute.

" There will come a stage where it doesn't work, and we'll have to go again with that, but at the moment it is going good for both of us. He's hit a header onto the bar against Forest on Tuesday, so it's going good. Hopefully we can get a few more goals before the season finishes and get us to where we want to be.

" Everybody wanted the win today, you could see everybody pushing forward. The only little thing that you would look to gain from the experience is that we looked a bit open to them on the counter-attack when we were pushing everybody to go forward. That's a little thing that we've got to look at, when we're in that situation, to make sure we are really tight so that they can't counter-attack and we keep the pressure on them. "

" The experience helps a little bit but it's just the momentum that you get playing at home, the crowd getting behind you, getting the equaliser, it all helps. We've got such a young squad that just want to play and want to do well and get forward. I don't really think that nerves or anything like that comes into it, so we were just going for the win.

" You've got to say well done to him (Keiren Westwood) for the save there. He's not had a lot to do and he couldn't even do anything for the goal because the deflection scooped over him. Time and time again though he is there when you need him. He's keeping his concentration right, it wasn't the hardest save, he's saved a lot harder this season and done very well. He's there to keep the ball out and then we've gone up the other end and scored.

" Everybody will be talking about Scott Dobie but I'm going to say a big thing for Gary Madine. It's good for Dobes to come back, he's had the injuries and illness, he's a got a great goal today, I'm buzzing for the lad, a local lad as well. Young Gary Madine came in though, the strength that he showed in the box, in the six-yard box, another player might have tried to do something to try to help it on.

" He showed real experience, the young lad did very well, he's a big lad, a big strong lad, he knocked it down for Dobes and it's a great goal. That's why I made sure that when we were all celebrating that I grabbed him and said brilliant, well done, but don't think you've made it yet.

" Everybody is looking at the results and all that, but one thing that I've learned with Carlisle is that we don't do anything easy. There is a lot of the season left, and I don't think that we've ever been nine points clear and sitting saying that we have got promotion because that is never going to happen with Carlisle.

" It's always exciting, exciting times ahead, so let's hope that the fans will love it. Tuesday is a great game to look forward to, we're just going to get our rest this weekend and then on Monday we'll come in and look forward to Tuesday. It's a hell of a prospect so we'll just wait and see what happens. "
