United defender, and man-of-the-match, Darren Campion spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria on Saturday evening as he talked about the 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth, Campion chatting about making his full Carlisle debut :
" Obviously I was just excited to have my debut, then to get the man-of-the-match just tops it all off for me. It was frantic at times, in the first 15 minutes I was nervous and I couldn't settle down, but after that I thought that I settled down, the fans and stuff, it's just hectic at the time and you've just got to get on with it. We didn't know anything, I still don't know the scores now so I didn't hear any scores at all.
" We are disappointed obviously because we feel that we have slipped up right at the end, when really we owed it to the fans to go up automatic. The way we see it though is that we have got a potential three games and going up through Wembley. That's exciting, so we are just looking forward to those now. We've got Leeds first, going to Elland Road and a big stadium and I reckon that it will be a sell-out there, then we will bring them back here, two great games to look forward to. "
While United goalscorer Scott Dobie commented :
" I was thinking about Forest going up and me being able to play before the game a little bit. I'm not going to say that I'm disappointed that Forest have gone up, good luck to the lads there and everything. I think the last few games have been in our hands and today was down to the other teams, we were relying on people to get beat.
" The lads are disappointed but at the same time we have got a second crack of the whip and hopefully we can do the business. The lads have played in a lot of big games, been promoted, had a few promotions. The emotions before the game were running high but you've just got to concentrate on the game in hand and just do the best that you can. "
And Blues goalkeeper Keiren Westwood said :
"It doesn't matter who we get in the play-offs, we should already be up and it's a disappointment. We've staggered over the last few weeks but now we've got another chance and it's a massive game against Leeds. I'm a bit disappointed but at least you have got the play-offs to fall back into. I should have made the run round the back-stick on the corner to be fair and tapped it in but I didn't. It's disappointing like I say, I'm gutted. "
