MK striker Ryan Lowe spoke to BBC Three Counties Radio after his side's 2-0 League One win over Carlisle at stadium:mk, Lowe understandably pleased to bag his first goal in Dons colours:
"Obviously, it was nice to get on the scoresheet, I know I scored in the shootout against Cheltenham but it is always nice to score at your own ground. It has been a long time coming really, it hasn't helped when we have gone down to ten men as it has been a lot harder and a lot tougher. But, I keep plugging away and I know I am going to get chances in this team and hopefully it is down to me to put them away, and fortunately for me today I did.
"I have been having a go at Daniel Powell about not passing it to me, but he is a great little player and you have got to be there for the rebound and that is where I was. It fell nicely, trust me, I have seen them go over the bar a few times so your concentration levels have to be higher. I was just over the moon as you could see in my celebration, I was just chuffed as the fans are expecting big things of the whole team and not only me, so it is always nice to get off to a start at home to score a goal.
"It has been great here, you only have to look at the lads and everything about them, there are no big-time Charlies here, I am not saying there was anywhere else but we are a great little team. We have got some good footballers in there, the manager (Karl Robinson) wants us to pass and keep moving and his philosophy of football, as I said when I first signed, is second to none. It is nice to be a part of that and I have settled in extremely well and it is a great club.
"We are not hiding any secrets of the fact that we have basically got to go up this season. That is what we have got to do and we have got to beat teams like Carlisle with all due respect to them because they are a great team with a good manager and they will be in there or there-abouts. But, our main focus is to get out of this league and we have just got to punish teams, and there were times there when we probably could have got three, four or five. But, we will take the 2-0 win as it is three points on the board.
"We had loads of chances in the first-half and then we were a little bit sloppy coming out second-half. Sometimes that happens, it was quite hot out there again today, I am not saying that as an excuse because both teams are out there, but the second goal came at a vital time for us. Then obviously we could have had three or four as I said before, but we are just over the moon to get the three points on the board."
