Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade spoke to his club's official website after his side's 4-0 win over Carlisle at Brisbane Road, Slade happy with two victories in four days for the O's:
“Obviously, it has been a busy and a big week for us, a late night on Tuesday and a really good performance on a difficult surface at Shrewsbury. It is nice to be back at home and we created an awful lot of chances this afternoon. The attitude and the energy that I thought we showed was fantastic. We had to show some patience but the encouraging thing was that the creation continued throughout the game really.
“There were chances that went begging and fortunately in the end we capitalised and got ourselves four goals. I tried to tell Scott Cuthbert it was an own goal but really I am very happy for him because he attacked the ball two or three times today really well in the box and was probably unfortunate not to get another one that flashed past the post.
“Jamie Ness got a 35-yarder for Rangers against Celtic so we know he is capable of that. He has hit today’s really, really well, it took a slight deflection but I don’t think it would have made any difference anyway. I was really pleased for Kevin Lisbie as well, that is what I said to him when he came off the pitch, I was really pleased that he got on the scoresheet again.
“When people come on I want them to make an impact, whether it is a short time like five minutes or like it was today with Jamie, it is 55 or 60 minutes he has played and you have got to make an impact. They did, everybody made an impact, the two young boys that came on [Jamar Loza and Shaquile Coulthirst] did a great job for us, they were a real threat in the last 15 minutes.
“Obviously, we want the likes of Romain Vincelot back, we need everybody back because it is such a small squad. But, it is nice to be able to turn to my bench today and use all three substitutes and all three have made a real positive impact. We want to be strong at home and so we proved today and having not played at home for four games, to come back here it was important to get a win.
“There is still more work to do and there is still more improvement to go. But, they are great times for us at the minute and things are going well. We have just got to make sure we stay on track, stay grounded in everything we do and we just tackle every game with the same attitude and commitment. I’d like to bring in another forward if possible but I’m not really worried about any of ours because it is going to take an awful lot of money to turn anybody’s head at this football club to go elsewhere.”
