Ipswich manager Paul Jewell spoke to BBC Radio Suffolk after his side's 2-1 extra-time Capital One Cup defeat against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Jewell saying they should have sealed the game with the chances they had in the first-half:
"It was hugely disappointing, we controlled the game in the first-half, with the chances we missed we should have put the game behind us. But, we are not a team that can see tough times out in games, one long ball over the top and a cross comes in and it is a goal.
"But, we didn't pass the ball well enough in the second-half and it just shows our frailities, we need some power and we need a bit of bite in the team. You think you are making progress and when we get it down and pass it we look nice, but when it becomes a little bit physical and a little bit not as pretty as it should be then we haven't got enough players in that group who can see those times out.
"It is not an easy place to come and for the first-half we were in control of the game really, Chops (Michael Chopra) has had a one v one and goals change games. But, we are not ruthless enough all over the pitch, physically it is alright people talking about passing the ball and pretty football, it is OK but you have to earn the right and too many of us haven't earnt it.
"Some of think they have arrived, some of them think they are good players because people have been saying nice things about them, but the last two results should be a wake-up call to them. It has been a problem for the last ten seasons here I guess hasn't it? I mean this is a fantastic football club but we have to do the things that good teams do, which is scrap and fight and see out times in tough times, not just in seasons but in games.
"Luke Hyam was out with a tight hamstring and Carlos (Edwards) has hurt his groin early on, then Josh Carson got a bit of a tight hamstring, then obviously with the long journey we have got it was not ideal to have extra-time. I've been saying that we need new players for a while, we did make an offer for a couple of players yesterday and I am hoping to try to move that forward tomorrow.
"George Boyd and Paul Taylor have accepted an offer from us and I am meeting them tomorrow and hopefully we can move forward. There is a possibility that Daryl Murphy might come in loan again, we need some height in the team, we aren't just trying to bring those three in, we are trying to bring in one or two others. We need it to be busy now, it has been a long frustrating summer and hopefully we can get things sorted out in the next 24/48 hours."
