United centre-half Lubomir Michalik spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Matt Newsum after Carlisle's 1-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final win over Brentford, the Slovakian stuck for words after the victory :
"I don't know what to say because it is a very exciting moment for me of course playing in this stadium and winning this trophy, it is totally unbelievable. So, it is a dream come true. We always believe that every game we want to win, if it is a cup game or a league game, so we are just very happy to win this final.
It was a great finish by Peter Murphy for the goal, he was the man of the match today and I think we defended really well because we kept a clean sheet. Brentford are a really good side but we defended really well and we are happy we won the trophy, we will be having a big night now."
Meanwhile, goalscoring hero Peter Murphy commented :
"It is a very nice trophy, after the weekend that I've had it is nice to get a good win, to score a goal and redeem a little bit of the demons from last year. There were a lot of people talking about that so it is nice to get the goal and get the win. The ball just came to me nice for the goal, I took it on my thigh and tried my luck and it went in, that is history now I suppose."
