Wanderers manager Gary Waddock spoke to his club's official website after his side's 1-0 League One defeat against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Waddock very disappointed that his side conceded the only goal of the game right on half-time :

"It is a lot easier when you go in 0-0 at half-time at a difficult venue. It would have been a different chat at half-time. It was a bit frustrating that the decision was given and then a good ball comes into the box and a little touch causes us problems.

"If we are a little bit bolder and we keep a higher line then sometimes the ball goes through to the keeper or out of play. I was disappointed with that. When you go a goal down you then need then to be more on the front foot, more attack-minded and positive which we are as a group anyway, but to concede so late in the first half was disappointing.

"Carlisle always try and start the game at a high tempo and I think we were still making the journey up here in the first 10-15 minutes. We weren't at all at the races but we got into it as the game progressed. They had a lot of chances and put us on the back foot. We didn't turn up for the first 10-15 minutes but we responded well in the second half, however, today wasn't the day to get anything.

"We performed well in the second half in terms of possession, keeping the ball and taking the game to the opposition but we didn't have enough threat up front in terms of working their goalkeeper. That's not aimed at the front players that is aimed at the whole group. We spoke briefly about it in the dressing room and we need to do better in the final third.

"We lacked that little bit extra if you like. The delivery from the free-kick from a good player won them the game. But if you look at our performance against a good Carlisle side we did okay. I'm disappointed for the fans because they travelled a hell of a long way to come up here and we thank them again for their support. It's just a shame that they've got to travel all the way back down with nothing."
