Rovers boss Paul Trollope
Pirates manager Paul Trollope spoke to the Bristol Evening Post after his side's 1-1 draw at Brunton Park on Saturday afternoon, Trollope suggesting that United rode their luck at times :

"We knew that Carlisle were going to come at us and they certainly did that with the wind at their backs. They forced a string of corners and then went ahead with a great wind-assisted strike, but I was pleased with the reaction of the players and the way we bounced back.

"It took us five or ten minutes to turn things around and get a foothold in the game but I was pleased at half-time how we'd taken control. We started the second half in similar vein and on another day our attacking play and the chances we had around their box would have led to two or three goals."

"Rickie (Lambert) has a great goals record this season and you would fancy him to put his chance away, but it wasn't to be. Sometimes a little bit of luck was on Carlisle's side and sometimes we made the wrong decisions, passing when we should have shot. But what was pleasing was that we got up their end so much and created so many good situations.

"I was pleased with our performance and thought we reached a decent level again - one that will get us results between now and the end of the season. Things didn't quite go for us today, but the main thing was that the performance was there."

Meanwhile Rovers midfielder Chris Lines commented to the Post :

"They were all over us in the first ten minutes and we were just trying to get through it. But unfortunately the ball fell to (Graham) Kavanagh and he put it in the top corner - that's what he's been doing all his career, which is why he's played at the top level. But then Jeff (Hughes) scored a great goal for us and was unlucky not to get a second one, if anyone deserved to win this one, it was us.

"We've had some great results away from home recently and we look at the defeat by Leicester in our last home match as a blip. I think most people would agree we should have got a point from it anyway. Everybody's buzzing at the moment and this is a good time to put a run together when we are playing so many matches. If we can keep getting four points a week, we'll soon be right up there."
