Charlton centre-half Sam Sodje spoke to BBC Radio Kent and his club's official website after his side's narrow 1-0 victory over Carlisle at the Valley, Sodje understandably happy that he scored the winning goal in the game :

" Draws are no longer good enough for us. We all have to stay strong. It's a tough run-in but I believe we have the experience in the squad to handle the pressure. I think we have performed better against the bigger teams this season and I know our supporters will be in full cry when we play the likes of Norwich and Leeds.

" I always knew I'd get a chance. The defender (Richard Keogh) wasn't really keeping hold of me before my goal, so when the keeper (Adam Collin) missed it, I just knew I had to put my head on it. The crosses were brilliant from the wide players - if we hadn't scored from a cross we would have been disappointed, because there were some quality crosses into the box.

" I'm doing really well. Throughout my career I've had a good scoring thing, and have always scored goals, so my four so far doesn't surprise me. My brother Sam and I are going to see who can score the most this season, but I'm not betting money on it as I think he's cheating - he's a striker, so he has more chances to score. I should really get two goals before we start if we were to bet.

" He comes round my house and gives it a go when he scores, but today was my day. I was looking forward to us both scoring in the same game, and it was a shame that his goal was disallowed because it was a good goal as well. We're really wishing that it happens at some point this season.

" It's been hard for me because I've had injuries before today and it's been two games in a couple of days, but I'm back on my game again and training properly, the medical staff are looking after me and I'm enjoying my football. "
