" I think it was a massive performance tonight, we've had to have a go at the lads in the last couple of days. This morning we've gone through things, we've told them exactly what we wanted because we were all disappointed on Saturday with the result, and if we're going to be honest, the performance as well. Tonight though the work-ethic, the closing down, the quality from set-pieces, the balls into striker's feet was absolutely superb. I'm just disappointed that the two strikers didn't get a goal each, because the work that they put in and their attitude tonight was first class and they deserved that little reward.
" Glenn Murray didn't half take his chance tonight, I wanted legs tonight and I wanted a real burst of energy upfront, and Glenn has given us that tonight. I'm delighted for him because he has waited, he has been patient, he's kept plugging away and has taken his little chances when he has come on as a substitute, and tonight he has done everything that we asked of him.
" I'm absolutely delighted, those scenes at the end with our fans over on that far side are worth waiting for. I was gutted on Saturday that we didn't do it in front of our home fans but we have had a massive travelling support tonight. Now we want to make sure that we get the presentation done so all of those people who turned up on Saturday, and even if there any more, can come into the ground. Then we can get it presented in front of all those people who supported us through some really thin times, but also through the good times that we are having now.
" We can go away and we can enjoy this now, we can enjoy our summer break, but we've got to finish it off properly against Stockport, which is being respectful to all the other teams who are scrapping around at the bottom. We want to go and win there and unfortunately if that doesn't do Stockport any favours then I'm afraid that's just tough. We want to finish this season off properly so that when we start next season we are still thinking positively and on a roll.
" The dressing-room is dry at the moment, there is no alcohol in there, no champagne still. Everybody is delighted though, we've worked so hard to get to this point and we're so happy about it. There is no way we can put it into words, all the hard work has really taken off to get us to this point tonight.
" The fans were absolutely superb and that's what they've been like all the time I've been at this club. Hopefully we can get an occasion sorted out so that we can really celebrate it properly. I'll have a rest tomorrow, we've got a reserve team game final tomorrow night at Doncaster which some players will be involved in but tonight is for enjoying. This week is for enjoying, on Saturday we'll do it properly against Stockport, then we'll enjoy it again for however long it takes. "
