United left-winger Simon Hackney spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his thoughts on his brace in the 4-2 home win over Boston United :
" In the first-half we performed very well but in the second-half we took our foot off the pedal and we sat back a bit. No disrespect to Boston though, they did give us a game as well, but luckily the two goals went in and it's three points.
" It's exciting times to be honest, I'm just thrilled to bits and I feel really blessed to have scored two goals today. The team has put in a great performance in the first-half and in the second-half we made it a bit difficult for ourselves.
" For the fourth goal, Zigor (Aranalde) played me down and I ran on, and it was bobbling like mad. I wanted to shoot much earlier, but I looked over to my right and saw Karl (Hawley) but it was a bit of a hard pass to play, so I've just managed to dink it over the defender. I'm chuffed to bits that that went in as well but it was a bit nerve-wracking.
" Lincoln is a massive game, they are a big, strong team but I think we've got enough ability in our team to do a job and keep striding forward for those three points, that is all that matters. Cardiff is life-changing for me and I'm sure it's life-changing for a few of the other players as well but it's just a massive plus to be going to the Millennium Stadium and I'm thrilled to bits. "
