Red Imps boss Keith Alexander spoke exclusively to The Lincolnshire Echo about the big game coming up tonight, saying :

"It was a great win on Saturday, but we must forget that now and concentrate on tonight. We've got to build on the victory over Grimsby and we'll go there looking for a win.

"Carlisle are top of the league and it will be a tough game for us. Paul Simpson has done a good job and we'll have to be at our best or we will get turned over.

"We know a draw will be a good result, but that's not our aim. We have to maintain our form at the minute - and keep it going as long as possible - because we are entering the final stages of the season now.

"We are doing well, but we cannot afford to get carried away. It is not going to be easy, but we'll give it our best shot at Brunton Park."

Mexborough-born City midfielder Luke Foster also took time out from preparations for the match to speak to the Echo, commenting :

"We are not concerned about them, because it's about how we play on the night. We know Carlisle are a good side, with good players and they have scored a lot of goals this season.

"But we certainly don't fear them because - if we are at our best - we can be a match for anyone. The win against Grimsby was a shot in the arm for the lads. To say we are buzzing is an understatement.

"Although a draw would be a good result, we want all three points. We need the victory so we can really strengthen our play-off place."

Paul Morgan (foot), Jeff Hughes (calf), Danny Bacon (broken leg), Gareth McAuley (stomach) and Simon Yeo (medial knee ligament damage) will all miss the big match, while left-back Paul Mayo picked up an arm injury in Lincoln's 5-0 home win over Grimsby Town on Saturday and faces a late fitness test ahead of the game.

18-year old Rotherham-born right-back Phil Watt has been added to the City squad and takes shirt number 30. City boss Keith Alexander isn't expected to make many changes to a Red Imps line-up however which has only lost once in their last 14 games, that being in their last game on the road in a 2-1 defeat at Boston United.
