Grimsby striker Michael Reddy spoke exclusively to The Grimsby Telegraph about the big game coming up tomorrow afternoon as he, like his manager Russell Slade, commented about the threat both sides have at the business end of the pitch :

"It would be nice to get a few more goals. I couldn't let Jonesy (Gary Jones) get past me last weekend - I have been getting a bit of stick from the lads about that. If we both keep scoring until the end of the season hopefully it will give us a good chance of going up.

"Obviously Hawley has been doing well all season and since Bridges has signed from Bristol City, he has been on fire as well. I think the two of them are possibly the best partnership in the league and their record proves that at the moment.

"Bridges was at Sunderland for the first two or three weeks after I arrived. He left to go to Leeds just after I got there so I didn't get much chance to get to know him. But I speak to Chris Lumsdon at Carlisle who was at Sunderland with me and he talks about him a lot. We know he has great ability and it is good to see him back playing after a bad injury."

"Thankfully, my injury wasn't as bad as his but I went through a similar thing trying to get back after surgery. He has had a terrible time with injuries since he was at Leeds when he was on fire. Now he is back and getting goals again. We are going to have to watch them at the back and keep it tight.

"The lads will have to work hard in defence. But we have done well in other games against potent strike-forces like (Jermain) Defoe and (Robbie) Keane against Spurs so we know we can keep them out. If we have the same mentality as last week and keep a clean sheet, then we have a chance. Hopefully if we can do that, either myself or Jonesy may be able to nick a goal.

"We have been resilient for most of the season and after the blip at Lincoln it was great for the lads at the back to keep a clean sheet last week against Wrexham. That was important for us and we'd take that result again this week. I think all the lads are confident after the Wrexham win. It is a nice game for us to have with our confidence high going into it.

"Some people might look at it and say a draw would be good but we will be going out to win. I don't think any of us will settle for a draw, we will be looking for three points. Promotion is within touching distance now with six games to go. I don't know how many points we need, though some have made estimates about how many wins or points we may need. We just want to go out and try and win every game and see where that takes us."
