Millwall caretaker manager Willie Donachie commented on his side's 2-1 win :

"For so many to come so far is amazing. The players would want me to thank them for that. They helped us dig in and show a lot of bravery in winning. It was terrific to see so many of them all the way up here, and the support they gave the team was magnificent.

"The players worked very hard for this result and we got our little bit of luck as well. With Scotland beating France too, it has been a pretty good day."

Lions midfielder Alan Dunne said on his third goal in three games :

"I can't believe the ball keeps going in. It's madness. It did take a slight deflection - but if you don't shoot, you don't score."

And striker Poul Hubertz, who scored the Millwall winner, added :

"I was lucky to be given the opening by some poor defending. When you get those chances the most important thing is to hit the target. We are working hard together so perhaps that is why we are winning now. And we are taking our chances."

He was also relieved that Carlisle missed the penalty he gave away by handling in the area three minutes later :

"I did touch the ball with my hand - but I was being pulled backwards at the time. We should have had a free-kick."
