"It's a great result for John Ward and his men, I've got a lot of time for John and I really hope they can push on now and get what they deserve. From our point of view we need to just take the positives out of the game because we're certainly not the worst side in the league.
"We need maybe that one more win just to finish our season off and hopefully we can do that against Crewe at Huish Park on Saturday. We came with a game plan and frustrated Carlisle, and I think a draw would have been a fairer result.
"Carlisle huffed and puffed at the start of the second half but we kept our noses in front and looked a threat on the break. The score line was harsh on us but there were positives to take out of the game. We need one more win to end our season, but the club is going through a period of transition with a lot of young players.
"It was certainly better than the away performances recently at Bournemouth and at Hartlepool. It was much more like us in terms of being a threat, although I thought we could have been more of a threat. We gave the ball away sometimes too easily in the first period, but at least we looked in the main organised and capable of winning a football match."
