The only teams exempt until the third round are those playing in Europe, who are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Portsmouth, and Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City are the exception to the rule though as their European qualification only came via the award of their spot through the Fair Play League.
The draw for the second round, pitting seeded teams against unseeded teams, will be made live on SKY Sports 2, following the conclusion of tonight's televised tie between Wycombe Wanderers and Birmingham City.
