Blue Square North club Workington have allowed former goalkeeper Aaran Taylor to train with them. The shot-stopper left Borough Park in the summer to join Blue Square Premier side Barrow but failed to break his way into the first-team. He left Barrow and joined skilltrainingltd Northern League side Penrith and has come full circle in the space of six months.
Taylor joined up with Darren Edmondson's squad for training earlier this week but has not yet signed on. "We will wait and see what happens with Aaran. We need to assess him and see where he's at but he could be coming back," said the Reds' manager.
Edmondson could lose current number one Adam Collin in the summer if he is successful in a bid to play League football. Collin has been training with Carlisle United with the view to signing for the Coca-Cola League One side if he impresses manager Greg Abbott. Collin was linked with Carlisle a couple of seasons ago but then manager Neil McDonald decided not to offer him a deal.
Edmondson said: "There has not been any discussion between us and Carlisle so at the moment we are keeping things as they are. Adam is enjoying training up there and you can see he has improved a lot this season."
But the Reds could have already lost one of the trio they brought in last week. Paul Lloyd could be on his way to Blue Square Premier strugglers Forest Green Rovers. The former Morecambe man could be joining the man who gave him his first professional start - Jim Harvey. Edmondson said: "I haven't heard from Paul so I'm guessing that means he has left the club. He hasn't been in contact with anyone from the club."
