Asreported in the Cumberland News:
A change in the ownership of Carlisle United is only months away, according to the businessman attempting to buy into the club.
Lifelong fan Andrew Lapping says his proposal to restructure the club has been well received by the board of directors and should be signed and sealed before the end of the season.
This would see Mr Lapping and a consortium of local business people buy shares, injecting more than £1 million and diluting the holdings of existing owners Andrew Jenkins, John Nixon, Steven Pattison and the United Trust.
There may also be an opportunity for ordinary fans to buy shares.
More in the newspaper. Not a lot though.
