John Cunningham
The 40-year-old took over from Paul Kee in 2006 and had an impressive first season in charge, guiding United to tenth in the Carnegie Premier League. Former Tobermore United boss Geoff Ferris, who played for Glenavon, leads the contenders to replace Cunningham.

Meanwhile, Cunningham has been linked with a return to Derry City to succeed Pat Fenlon as Candystripes manager. Cunningham played for Derry and was also an assistant manager at the Brandywell. He joined Limavady in 2005 as assistant manager to Paul Kee and was then promoted to the top job last year when Kee left the club.

Cunningham was also assistant manager at Carlisle United for a nine-month period where he worked under then boss Roddy Collins in the 2001-02 season and was Collins's first important signing when he arrived. Only two days after Collins was sensationally sacked by Michael Knighton though Cunningham, along with fellow coach Tony Elliott, quit Brunton Park in protest at the decision.
