20-year old first-year professional Ferris links up with Lee Ashcroft's struggling side from Monday onwards and is likely to play his first match for Town in a UniBond League Challenge Cup Round Three tie at home to big-spending Fleetwood Town on the 6th of January.
The Carlisle-born frontman, whose 12-month contract expires at the end of the current campaign, suffered a bad knee injury last season and with first-team opportunities limited and no reserve games scheduled for three weeks he has been sent out on loan to Kendal in order to get some matches under his belt.
Ferris spent another spell out on loan earlier this season when he joined Workington Reds for a month over late October and early November in an effort to aid the West Cumbrian club's quest for promotion into the Nationwide Conference. The loan spell at Borough Park wasn't extended though and Pete returned to reserve-team football at Brunton Park.
