He has now come on board with Carlisle for the next season and a half after Bristol City boss Gary Johnson decided he was surplus to requirements at Ashton Gate and released the 27-year old striker in order for him to sign up with the Cumbrians.
Bridges has made four starting and two substitute appearances since he joined on loan scoring two goals in the process. United's two LDV games have hampered his playing potential in that time however as he is cup-tied in the competition following a first round appearance for Bristol City.
Michael will be looking to start his career afresh with Carlisle over the course of his contract after horrendous injury problems at Leeds United wrecked his career when he was at the peak of his powers in the Premiership. Hopefully his permanent arrival will be the first of a few for the Blues in the January transfer window as boss Paul Simpson looks to strengthen his promotion chasing squad.
Welcome to the United team full-time Michael and all the best!!
