The 27-year old is currently contracted to Scottish Premier League outfit St Mirren, but he has fallen from favour recently with the Buddies and so looks to be available for transfer from the Paisley club. Guy, a name linked often with United in the past due to his Cumbrian connections, started his career with Newcastle United before a loan and then lenghty permanent spell with Doncaster Rovers.
Away from the Keepmoat Stadium loan moves to Hartlepool United and Oldham Athletic then followed before a permanent transfer down country to MK Dons in 2010. That spell in Buckinghamshire seeing another period out on loan, this time at Oxford United, before he was on the move again on a permanent basis when he went north of the border in early 2012 after being released early from his Dons contract in order to join St Mirren.
