After the Crawley Observer spilt the beans last week on a potential move for United's loanee frontman Kevin Gall to the south coast from his current spell at Lincoln City, the story has now moved on from Red Devil's boss Steve Evans initial comments of : "I don't know where you've got that from. I can't confirm it but I can't deny it either."
Evans late on Thursday now saying to the Brighton Argus : "I have agreed to speak to Carlisle boss John Ward after the weekend but I understand there is a recall clause in the loan. If there isn't, the deal is dead until Christmas. I've tried to sign him a couple of times in the past. He would be a real asset to us in the system we play. Kevin is based up north but he's from the south and is best pals with Simon Weatherstone."
Despite Gall having now dropped down to the bench at Sincil Bank, after not finding the net in six starts and three substitute appearances, he isn't too keen on a move to Crawley, Gall commenting to the Lincolnshire Echo :"I have not heard anything about Crawley, but I am better than the Conference. One of my best friends, Simon Weatherstone, plays for Crawley, but no disrespect to Crawley, I am at Lincoln and I am here until January 5th. I'm playing for a contract beyond that, I'm not just here every other day or every other week."
