Ebdon, who only joined Alfreton last summer, was installed as the new Reds boss on Tuesday of this week making it three managers in the space of six days as Darron Gee was in charge for the 1-0 win over Leigh RMI last Saturday before following Mills to The Lamb on Monday.
Ebdon, 36, will be assisted by former Chesterfield striker David Reeves, 39, who has been playing for the club since October, and the pair's first game in charge is this Saturday when the Reds will be out to avenge a 3-2 defeat at Stalybridge Celtic earlier in the season as the Celts visit the Impact Arena.
Reeves played 163 times for the Cumbrians, scoring 63 goals in the process, in a three-year spell at Brunton Park after arriving from Notts County for a club record fee of £121,000 in October 1993. The Birkenhead-born striker eventually being sold to Preston North End for £300,000 almost exactly 36 months later.
