That pair being Spanish attacking midfielders cum strikers Jose Maria Cases Hernandez and Edgar Chumillas Martinez. 23-year old 5'8 tall Cases is the player with the most history having come through the youth ranks at Villarreal before earning a call up to the Yellow Submarines first team squad in 2003 and 2004 for eight games in that period.
Cases being an unused substitute five times and coming off the bench twice, with his sole appearance being a big one though as it came in May 2004 in a UEFA Cup semi-final second leg 1-0 defeat away to Valencia. The midfielder has been with Terrassa, home-town club Orihuela and Eibar since the summer of 2005 and last season he featured for the eventually relegated Valencia Mestalla in Segunda Division B - the third tier of Spanish football.
As for Chumillas Martinez, the 5'11 tall 20-year old is still at Villarreal having, like Cases, come through their youth system. Martinez last season plying his trade in the Yellow Submarines C team, who play in the Tercera Division Group 6 - the fourth tier of Spanish football.
Meanwhile, back in England, fellow midfielder David Hutton was released by Cheltenham at the end of last season. The left-sided 20-year old, who has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at under-15 and 16 level, starting his career at Tottenham's youth academy before being let go by the White Hart Lane outfit at the end of the 2008-09 campaign.
Earlier that season Hutton had been out on loan at Cheltenham, and he played in the 1-1 draw against Carlisle at Whaddon Road in late April 2009. Hutton last summer then signing for the Robins on a one-year contract after leaving Spurs, the Enfield-born winger making 20 starts, 13 substitute appearances and scoring one goal in his loan and permanent spells in Gloucestershire.
He was released by Cheltenham boss Mark Yates, along with seven other players, in May of this year though and he spent a recent spell on trial at Blue Square Premier outfit Grimsby Town. Hutton playing for the Mariners in a 1-0 loss at Boston United before joining them on their five day long training camp in Scotland and for their 2-0 friendly defeat at Stirling Albion last Wednesday.
