So Carlisle remain in first place by a point above the Clarets, although Burnley do have a healthy two games in hand on United. As for the game itself neither side created any real clear-cut chances although the home team did have the best of things from a possession perspective, Alex MacDonald in particular forcing Blues goalkeeper Chris Howarth into a couple of good saves.
Michael Bridges and Andy Cook going the closest to finding a goal from Carlisle's point of view, only for a very tight game to eventually finish honours even. Neither team is in second-string action next week with United's next fixture coming a week on Monday afternoon when they face Accrington Stanley in a 2pm kick-off at Brunton Park.
