The top-of-the-table Latics continued their unbeaten run in the Pontin's Holidays League Division One West tonight, although they were held to a battling draw by a hard-working Cumbrians side. Matty Wolfenden, recently back from injury, giving the home side the lead after 13 minutes when he was well set-up for a 12-yard finish by Ashley Kelly and Chris Hall.

Adam Bradley had a stellar match in goal for the Cumbrians and twice made good saves from Hall in the first-half to keep the score down to 1-0. Carlisle's best chance in the opening period came from Glenn Murray but he could only fire narrowly over Latics keeper Ryan Smith's crossbar. The Blues came out in much stronger fashion after the beak and Murray managed to bag a close-range equaliser after some good work on the left by Stephen Hindmarch.

Despite Oldham throwing plenty of men forward in the closing stages United hung on well for a draw against a side who had scored 12 goals in their opening five second-string matches. Carlisle's next match comes in seven days when they face Accrington Stanley reserves at Brunton Park in a 7pm kick-off.
