Reserves League Round-Up This Week

The victory for the Lilywhites is their second in a row in the second-string league after losing their opening five matches, it also moves them off the bottom and above City in the table. Brett Ormerod opened the scoring for the visitors after only ten minutes with youngster Dylan Adams doubling the North End lead 12 minutes into the second-half. Chester notched a late goal through Chris Holroyd but it wasn't enough to stop Preston from making the short journey home with all three points.

It's a quiet period in the division at the moment with a rest week in the league last week, only the one match this week, and only two games scheduled for next week. The reasons for this ranging from County Cup fixtures to FA Youth Cup games and Johnstone's Paint Trophy ties as sides look to get matches out of the way before the wintry weather causes potential postponements.
