That match being the top of the table clash at Brunton Park that saw Manchester City easily leapfrog Carlisle to hit pole position in the division with a 4-1 victory. Jack Redshaw putting in a tremendous performance to score all four goals for the Citizens with Scott Dobie netting United's goal while the score was 2-0.
Next week sees every side in the division in action as the second-string season begins to draw a close, although Burnley still have a bumper 11 games left to play. It is the Clarets too that Carlisle face next week in a 7pm Monday night fixture at Brunton Park.
