The title-winning Clarets losing their final match of the campaign, played at their home venue of Accrington Stanley's Fraser Eagle Stadium, 1-0 against Manchester City. Vladimir Weiss scored the only goal of the game in the first-half and the victory for the Citizens means that they leapfrog Carlisle and Morecambe to finish second in the table.

United ended their campaign in fourth after City's win, with eight wins, five draws and five defeats from their 18 matches played. The Blues eventually dropping away from the title race after only tasting success in two of their last seven outings, injuries and a very busy fixture schedule for the youth team lads eventually taking its toll.


Final result in the division on Wednesday 6th May, 7pm
