With Carlisle out of action Wrexham have now moved up to second place, the Red Dragons coasting to a 3-0 home victory over Morecambe at Globe Way, Buckley Town FC. Angelos Tsiaklis on 34 minutes, then Lamine Sakho and Adrian Cieslewicz in the second-half getting the goals for the Welshmen against a reasonably strong Shrimps side.
The only other match played this week saw Oldham win by the odd goal in five away to Tranmere, the game taking place at Kirklands, Cammell Laird FC. The Latics going ahead through Djeny Bembo-Leta before Charlie Barnett equalised for Rovers just before the break, the home side then 2-1 up after 50 minutes when Josh Macauley scored. It wasn't to be for Tranmere though as Ryan Brooke and Kirk Millar both netted to make the final score 3-2 to Oldham.
And it is the Latics that Carlisle face next week, in a game moved from Tuesday to Wednesday due to United's home tie against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup, the game away to Oldham taking place at Hyde United's Ewen Fields in a 7pm kick-off.
