Blackpool Youth 0-0 United Youth

So, six games unbeaten now for Carlisle in the Puma Youth Alliance North West Conference, although the lads will be disappointed not to have gone home with all three points after completely dominating the game and missing out on the chance to bag a win. Strike duo Stephen Hindmarch were the main men guilty of not scoring although a decision by the local referee not to give the Cumbrians a penalty late on didn't help either as Hindmarch seemed to be hacked down in the opposition 18-yard box. Both sides ended the goal-less game with just ten men apiece as Blues skipper Shaun Vipond was sent off for violent conduct after clashing with a Blackpool player who was also red-carded.

The trialist keeper that featured for United in the 4-0 home win over Accrington last week was again on show this morning and in other squad news Blues boss Eric Kinder has signed two youngsters in readiness for next seasons influx of first year YTS players. Central midfielder Michael Dowson, 15 and recently released by Middlesbrough, played in the home wins over Blackpool and Accrington, while Josh Newsham, also 15 and recently let go by Blackburn, is a right-winger/striker who played the last ten minutes against Blackpool today.
