United came roaring out in the second-half and, after both Gary Madine and Stephen Hindmarch had been unlucky not to profit in one-to-one situations, skipper Matthew Brown finally grabbed an equaliser for the Blues with a great strike from the edge of the Blackpool box.
Hindmarch was starting to think it really might not be his day as he missed three chances shortly afterwards. His goal finally did come though three minutes from time as United nabbed a late winner, a lovely move involving Brown, John Seaton and Madine eventually seeing Hindmarch score at the Seasiders back-stick.
That win lifts Carlisle up to tenth in the table with their next fixture coming up in seven days time. The lads taking on a Rochdale side, who have shipped 20 goals in their first six games, this coming Saturday in an 11am kick-off on the new training pitch behind Brunton Park.
