Bury Youth 0-2 United Youth

So it's a fantastic 13 wins and two draws from their last 15 games for the lads now, today's result even better when you consider that skipper Tom Aldred and midfielder Jonny Blake were away on first-team duty at Grays. The substitutes bench, with James Wood out long-term injured, bumped up to four with the inclusion of under-16s full-back James Bonnor.

The only chance of the first-half came the way of the Cumbrians after 15 minutes when Andy Cook toe-poked a shot just wide when clean through on goal. United though taking the lead after the interval when Connor Tinnion, who had an excellent game throughout, stuck in a free-kick from his left-hand flank which Chris McDougall, along with an unfortunate Bury defender, managed to bundle into the back of the Shakers net.

Carlisle making sure of all three points in the 88th minute when a great touch from Liam Davison allowed him to turn and hammer a shot low into the bottom corner. Next week the Cumbrians play the first of a remarkable run of six league and cup games in a row at home, that being an 11am kick-off in the league at Gillford Park against second-bottom Morecambe.
