Everton Youth 1-1 United Youth

It doesn't get much harder than starting things off with a trip to Premier League side Everton but Carlisle started off excellently in the match and even found themselves 1-0 up at half-time. Jonny Blake finding the back of the net for the Cumbrians with a deflected shot, United actually having chances to extend their lead before the Toffemen finally equalised after the break.

In a typical pre-season second-half at this time of year both teams tired late on with the game fading away into a stalemate, although Carlisle did hit the bar. A cracking start for the lads though and one which will hopefully give them confidence for the rest of the campaign as they play their next game away to Preston in two days time.
