Strikers James Lindie and Rhys Henry are the dangerman for Southend when they visit Brunton Park for the big round five clash this evening. Hopefully though Carlisle can repeat their heroics of the last stage of the competition when they won 2-1 away to Manchester United and make it another great night to remember for youth team football at the club.
Ahead of the game this evening both sides now know that they will face Aston Villa or Ipswich Town at home in the quarter-finals of the competition. Plymouth having already made it to the last eight of the FA Youth Cup after defeating Birmingham City 3-2 at Home Park on Monday night thanks to a hat-trick from striker Jarred Stevens.
Two other teams from League One, apart from Carlisle and Southend, have come through four stages to make it to the fifth round of the competition. Those two being Port Vale who have a big match at home to Spurs while Swindon, who knocked out Middlesbrough last night in round four, face a trip to the Valley and Charlton Athletic.
