The 'Pools youngsters having won two, drawn two and lost three of their seven games played to date, scoring as well as conceding twelve goals in the process.
If the Cumbrians can make it past Hartlepool on Tuesday then next up will be a trip to Accrington or Wakefield. Stanley, often a bogey side for Carlisle in the past, are rock bottom of United's division at the moment after losing all their seven league games to date. Meanwhile Wakefield have made it through to the first round of the FA Youth Cup for the first time after defeating Liversedge, North Ferriby United and Garforth Town in the qualifying rounds.
